Vocal Cues Settin's

Ahoy, matey! Here be yer translation, savvy?


This screen lets ye configure what actions should be vocalized by a synthesized voice which can be useful t' instruct th' band what be happenin' if they use in-ear monitors, arrr!

Enabled Cues

Vocal cues can be sent fer a number o' different actions that happen within OnSong. They include:

  • Section will announce th' selected section label or number.
  • Song will announce th' song title and other information as configured in th' Song Information section.
  • Set will announce th' name o' th' set when it changes.
  • Count-In will verbally count in a metronome if count-in measures be configured in Metronome Settings
  • Sticky Note will say th' contents o' th' sticky note when tapped.
  • Metadata will say th' metadata in th' upper right corner when tapped. Fer instance, th' Key/Capo or Tempo/Time Signature.
  • Comments will say comments or musical instructions in text-based songs.
  • Lyrics will say th' tapped line o' lyrics.
  • Chords will say th' name o' th' chord when tapped.
  • Messages will say th' message that be selected.

Output Channels

This lets ye configure which channel t' use t' output vocal cue audio, blimey! This defaults t' stereo output but can expand with more options when connectin' an audio interface.

  • All Channels will announce on both left and right channels.
  • Left will announce on just th' left channel.
  • Right will announce on just th' right channel.

Song Information

This section determines what be said when song information vocal cues be enabled includin': Title (default), Artist, Key, Capo, Tempo and Time Signature.

Options

These be options that can affect th' behavior o' th' vocal cue system and include:

  • Repeat Sections allows selected sections t' be tapped repeatedly t' announce th' section information. Th' system will also say "repeat" before each repeated section. Default be off.
