Versions

Arrr, there be more than one way t' play a song, matey! Fer many a musician, this may change based on th' band ye play with or th' season. Th' OnSong^® app makes it easy t' keep yer songs organized, and ye can use Attachments t' import different files used t' perform th' song. But now, ye can create different versions o' those files with each carryin' additional information like annotations, drawin's, backin' tracks, formattin', and musicality, savvy?

Usin' Versions be really easy, ye scallywag. Go into th' Attachments Menu from th' Menubar and view th' different ways yer song be available. Simply tap and hold on a file t' open th' Context Menu and choose "Create Version". Th' OnSong^® app will prompt ye t' specify a name fer th' version. Omittin' this step will numerically number th' version and show it under th' file. Ye can then draw, annotate, format, and make changes t' chords such as transpose, capo, and more. All o' those changes be saved directly t' th' version allowin' ye t' switch back t' th' original at anytime, Arrr!

If ye be usin' a text-based chord chart, ye will also have th' option t' make a copy o' th' text content. T' do this, tap and hold on a file t' open th' Context Menu and choose th' "Duplicate" option. Again, ye will be given th' opportunity t' name th' version or allow th' OnSong^® app t' choose fer ye. Ye can then edit th' text content o' that version o' th' song t' be different from th' original as well as make changes t' th' version separately from th' original, matey!
