The Thingy Bar
The Clicky Stuff Up Top (a.k.a. The Menubar)
Yo, so this bar at the top? Yeah, it's basically the control panel for everything you're gonna need to wrangle your songs without losin' your mind. If you're feelin' extra & want to Make It Yours, go ahead & rearrange or yeet those buttons into oblivion. By default, it's loaded with all this stuff:
Tunes Central
The main dude for keepin' your songs from total chaos. Dig through your library, import new stuff, organize it into sets, manage your books, & browse collections till your eyeballs hurt.
Gimme That
It's an arrow pointin' up in a box. Revolutionary, we know. Tap it & blast your song or set to the world via export, email, print, or wireless wizardry.
The Big Screen Hookup
Looks like a monitor icon. Use this bad boy to wire up an external screen or projector to OnSong. Grab an Apple Digital AV Adapter, or AirPlay it to an AppleTV, & suddenly you're projecting lyrics for your adoring fans or showing chord charts to your band on a monitor. Fancy.
The Boombox Stuff
Looks like headphones. Set up a backing track to jam along with while you're glarin' at those chords. Dial in your metronome tempo & time signature, set song duration for autoscroll, or dig up alternate versions through our iTunes search magic.
Actions Editor
Pops open the Actions Editor so you can trigger stuff from foot pedals, MIDI, screen taps, & keyboard shortcuts. Basically: make your equipment dance for you.
The Big Fat Status Display
Center stage, baby. Shows your song name real big & proud. Swipe left/right or right-click to flip between song name, set, next up, or a timer. It's like a tiny stage manager in your pocket.
Group Chat Extravaganza
Send messages to your bandmates through taps & pedal presses. Communicate without shoutin' over drums. Mind = blown.
The Sorter
Yeet your currently loaded song into sets, books, or tag it with icons like stars. When a song's got bling, the star lights up here. Fancy organizational flex.
The Paperwork Bin
Looks like pages with a checkmark. Peek at all the files stuck to your song. Also where you can jump into the Song Editor to mangle text versions of your tune & tweak metadata.
Doodle Board Supreme
A note with a pen icon. Slap annotations & drawings all over your chord chart or sheet music. Set up viewports, toggle widgets—it's your canvas, fam.
The Look-Feel Tweaker
Slider icon. Change literally everything about how your sheet looks: fonts, colors, transpose/capo, hide/show headers, lyrics, chords, diagrams—you name it, you can flip it.
The Secret Sauce Menu
Gear icon. Advanced tools, editors, & settings live here. For the extra nerdy peeps.
The menubar shows your progress through a setlist as a thin, teal line. Get weird with it in Settings » Menu Settings » Menubar » Show Setlist Progress
