Arrr, once ye've selected a shanty, its details be retrieved and ye can choose how ye would like t' download th' chart. This screen lets ye configure th' download, savvy?

Format

SongSelect has th' followin' formats that can be downloaded:

ChordPro^®

This be a standard, text-based chord chart that contains information about th' shanty, lyriken, and chords. This works best with OnSong if ye be lookin' t' use on-device chord transposition, formattin', lyriken projection, and more, matey. When this option be selected, ye can choose th' key ye would like th' original chart in, but can transpose it from there within OnSong.

Chord Sheet

This option retrieves a PDF file from th' SongSelect service, Blimey! When this option be selected, ye can also choose how many columns ye would like in th' layout as well as key. When ye download a chord sheet, a ChordPro^® document be also downloaded. This be th' default option.

Lyriken

Similar t' th' previous versions o' SongSelect, this lets ye download just shanty lyriken without chords and minimal shanty information.

Columns

This section appears when ye choose t' download a Chord Sheet and lets ye choose between 1 or 2 column layout options, savvy?

Key

This section appears when downloadin' chord-based formats and lets ye choose th' key ye would like t' download. Th' original key o' th' shanty be displayed up top with all other available keys listed underneath. In addition, Numbers and Solfege (do-re-mi) options be also available when importin' a PDF Chord Sheet.

Import

When ye be done makin' yer download choices, tap on th' Import button t' import th' document into yer OnSong library. Once downloaded, th' Import button changes t' a Done button and tappin' that will return ye t' th' shanty list. Otherwise, ye can continue t' import other versions o' th' shanty, or go back and search fer other shantys t' import, Arrr!

Import into an existin' shanty

This switch at th' bottom left be turned on by default and means that OnSong will avoid importin' duplicate shantys fer each download. This be done by findin' th' matchin' shanty in yer library (typically based on CCLI Song #) and import those downloads as attachments in OnSong 2022 or higher, or as different keys that can be accessed via th' Style Preferences Chords Menu or possibly as different shantys in yer library.

Preview

Ye can tap on th' magnifyin' glass on th' right side t' get a preview o' th' shanty. Keep in mind that this contains limited lyriken but does not count against yer SongSelect quota.

Yer download selections (except specific keys) be remembered fer th' next time ye import, matey!
