OnSong 2023.2

OnSong 2023.2 was released on July 7, 2023. The following items have been added, changed or fixed:


  • Added optional, ad-supported access to basic features in the free version on iOS and iPadOS.
  • Added the ability to clear song reporting status for CCLI auto-reporting.
  • Added the ability for importing remote sources and automatically navigate to the new source.


  • Changed CCLI auto-reporting to not send usage that takes place in future sets.
  • Changed the audio playback scrubber controls in the app to be more fluid.
  • Changed the Annotations Library place action to place the saved annotation in the center of the current viewport.


  • Updated all translations.


  • Fixed an issue with resizing of views when switching between portrait and landscape.
  • Fixed an issue when setting an action on an annotation while in portrait mode shows a narrow menu.
  • Fixed an issue where the number of books don’t seem to be updating after deleting a book in the songs menu.
  • Fixed an issue where the song editor rewrite into key function is not reflected in the song preview widget.
  • Fixed an issue where section names with hyphens are ignored when generating flow widget labels.
  • Fixed an issue with various song formats not showing or interacting properly in flow.
  • Fixed an issue where turning on the repeat icon seems to have no effect for looping a short WAV.
  • Fixed an issue where CCLI auto-reporting initiated when not signed in will not complete once authentication is performed.
  • Fixed an issue where you could import video files in the audio media library but they don't appear because they are not audio media.
  • Fixed an issue where changing the repeat mode while a track is loaded has no effect, at least not with the video player.
  • Fixed an issue where videos that complete playing as an audio track causes the playhead to enter a strange visual state.
  • Fixed an issue where after a track plays through, it requires the user to press the play button twice in the HUD.
  • Fixed an issue where changing the repeat mode of a song causes the playback of video backing tracks to stop or restart.
  • Fixed an issue where song reset does not cancelled delayed MIDI commands.
  • Fixed an issue where MIDI stops working when you leave the app and come back in.
  • Fixed an issue where reordering a set in console refreshes the screen and requires scrolling.
  • Fixed an issue where adjusting text size effects chord lines differently in sticky notes due to line wrapping.
  • Fixed an issue where drawings shift between between landscape and portrait orientations.
  • Fixed an issue with typing performance when editing the song with the preview widget enabled.
  • Fixed an issue with how live video configuration files are saved that can cause a crash on macOS.
  • Fixed an issue where you cannot change a setting after searching settings.
  • Fixed an issue where the track editor is available through the mixer widget for tracks that are not OnSong media.
  • Fixed an issue where the wrong backing track plays when switching between all songs and sets.
  • Fixed an issue where the main interface may display on an external screen unexpectedly.


  • Removed SongSelect 1.0 on June 26 since it will no longer be supported by CCLI. »
