OnSong 2020.8.5

OnSong 2020.8.5 was released on February 10, 2022. The following items have been added, changed or fixed:


  • Added customizing email preferences after creating an account.
  • Added the ability to customize OnSong communications from the Account Details screen.
  • Added a warning using drawings and annotations with certain file types is not recommended.


  • Changed the touch system to not register navigation until a certain amount of time after the scroll view stops.
  • Changed the app to be compiled under the latest version of Xcode and iOS/iPadOS 15 SDK.


  • Fixed an issue where the app would logout if a token was not received as expected from the authentication process.
  • Fixed an issue where the timeline does not record when the metronome BPM is set.
  • Fixed an issue where the sticky note editor is not displaying black text on white when in low light mode.
  • Fixed an issue where some timeline events would not fire when the originating object was a timeline event instead of the timeline itself.
  • Fixed an issue where the timeline zoom is not recorded when a double-tap gesture is used.
  • Fixed an issue where pasting text does not function in the Get Support screen.
  • Fixed an issue where dragging to scale the song viewer was not also recording the new position when the pinch gesture is combined with a pan gesture.
  • Fixed an issue when recording timeline due to inconsistent timeline selection.
  • Fixed an issue with border alignment when viewing text-based and other document types.
  • Fixed an issue where content would appear under the menubar when viewed.
  • Fixed an issue where black text on a transparent sticky note editor does not become white when low light mode is initiated.
  • Fixed an issue where the bottom toolbar could disappear from certain songs menu tabs when opened in portrait orientation, changed to landscape, and then opened.
  • Fixed an issue where the color builder cuts off in landscape orientation when displayed on an iPhone.
  • Fixed an issue where the Console Screen on iPhone does not display properly when opened or rotated into landscape orientation.
  • Fixed an issue where the Choose Sets screen in the Organized Menu on an iPhone in landscape orientation does not include a close button.
  • Fixed an issue where autoscrolling stops after using Quick Pick.
  • Fixed an issue when switching to a set where the sets tab would automatically go blank.
  • Fixed an issue when creating a new sticky note and changing the background to transparent with the default color results in the initial text being black on black.
  • Fixed an issue where lyrics display momentarily when lyrics hidden and autoscroll selected the lyrics due to overlapping animation sequences.
  • Fixed a crash condition when selecting an item in the background media library.
  • Fixed a crash condition when pasting text into the Get Support steps to replicate text area.
