Screamin' the Words (So Everyone Knows You Can't Remember Them)
Yo, wanna make your lyrics look all fancy-schmancy on the big screen? Most of the cool stuff—like background colors, images, gradients & font picks—lives in the Lyriken-Projektion Hamburger. But if you're feelin' all system-wide & philosophical about it, there's a settings screen just for lyrics projection. You're welcome. 🙄
Schriftart
Pick a font so your lyrics don't look like they were typed in 1997. Verdana is the basic, play-it-safe choice. Peep your options:
- Baskerville
- Courier
- Georgia
- Helvetica
- Verdana
Text-Ausrichtung (Horizontal Vibes)
By default, your lyrics are all "look at me, I'm centered!" But if you're feelin' rebellious, you can also yeet 'em:
- Left smooshes the text to the left side. Sad & lonely over there.
- Center parks it in the middle like a responsible citizen. Default.
- Right kicks it to the right side. Also sad.
Vertikale Ausrichtung (Up & Down Chaos)
Lyrics normally chill in the middle height-wise, but you can move 'em around like furniture:
- Top puts your lyrics at the tippy-top. Hope you got a tall screen!
- Middle keeps 'em balanced in the center. Default. (We're practical.)
- Bottom dumps 'em at the bottom. Your neck will hurt.
Ränder (The Breathing Room)
Don't want your lyrics gettin' squished at the edges? Use this to tell OnSong how much personal space they need. Choices:
- None yeets text right to the edge. Live dangerously!
- Hairline gives you 1% padding. (Almost nothing, tbh.)
- Thin = 2%. Still basically touching the void.
- Normal = 4%. The chill default. Reasonable vibes.
- Thick = 6%. Getting cozy.
- Thicker = 8%. Your text needs a hug apparently.
- Thickest = 10%. Maximum cushion energy.
Max. Zeilen (The "Too Much?" Setting)
If you got a chunky section of lyrics & wanna split it up (like when you're showing a live video too), this is your jam. Turn it on & tap repeatedly to shuffle through the subsections like you're DJing your own song. Wild stuff.
Options:
- None = no subsections, show the whole dang thing. Default.
- 1-5 = you pick the max lines to display at once. OnSong's gonna be real smart about it. Got 5 lines but set it to 2? Boom—three subsections. Math is wild.
Passt Lyriken zur Größe (Anti-Wrap Mode)
This stops your lyrics from breaking into new lines when you're projecting. It's ON by default 'cause apparently your stanzas are precious & sacred for singing purposes. If you turn it OFF & your font is YUGE, the text might wrap like a Christmas present. You've been warned.
Footer anzeigen (The Fine Print™)
The footer is where song title, artist, license & copyright live—basically all the legal stuff nobody reads. You can move this footer party to:
- Off = adios, footer. Completely gone. Bye Felicia.
- Bottom = stuck in the bottom-left corner. Default. Classy.
- Top = moves to the top-left instead. For rebels.
Footer-Größe (Shrink It or Die Tryin')
This slider lets you adjust how thicc the footer is compared to your lyrics font. Default is like 1/3 the size. (Basically tiny.)
Hintergrund-Füllung (The Squish Factor)
When your background image or video doesn't match your screen's shape, this decides what happens. Options:
- Fit = scales the background but keeps it looking right, even if it means black bars show up. Letterbox life.
- Stretch = yeetus deleteus the aspect ratio & stretches that bad boy to fill the screen. Might look weird tho.
- Zoom = zooms in & crops to fill the screen without bars. Looks sick. Default.
