User Interface

OnSong be designed t' let ye focus on wot be important, yer music, matey. Th' OnSong interface be divided into these main areas, Arrr!

Status Bar

Th' status bar be provided by th' operatin' system and provides information such as th' current time, networkin', and battery status, savvy?

Th' menubar contains access t' all th' functions fer managin' yer library and th' songs ye be viewin'.

Song Viewer

Most o' th' main interface displays th' currently active song, Blimey! There be special regions that overlay th' song viewer which provides tools ye can use while performin'.

Live Bar

In th' lower right portion o' th' screen be th' live bar which contains large buttons that can be activated during a live performance. These include autoscrollin', startin' and stoppin' a backin' track, startin' or stoppin' th' metronome, and toggling ad-hoc networkin' mode, ye scallywag.

Setup Account

When ye first open OnSong, ye'll be needin' t' set up an account or sign into yer existin' OnSong account. This be not th' same as yer Apple ID that ye used t' download th' app from th' App Store. If ye've already signed into OnSong, th' Getting Started screen may be displayed instead, matey.

Ye may also be prompted t' opt into push notifications. OnSong intends t' use push notifications t' notify our crew o' an emergency or t' pass along time-sensitive information, Arrr!

There be a few optional gestures ye can use t' quickly access th' menubar and songs menu, savvy?

Compact Mode

If ye be usin' OnSong on an iPhone or iPod Touch, th' user interface be different t' better suit those form factors, Ahoy!
