Format
Th' Format tab be lettin' ye change th' appearance o' th' song content, savvy? Ye can change th' followin' aspects o' th' song.
Th' style preferences menu be only available fer text-based chord charts, matey. If ye be viewin' an imported file, ye will have th' option t' Extract and Edit or Use Text Version.
Font Family
Four buttons on th' top o' th' menu allow ye t' choose th' font o' th' entire song. Ye can choose from:
- Georgia be a serif font that may be easier t' read fer some scallywags.
- Helvetica be a sans-serif font that be perfect fer displayin' chord charts. Default.
- Courier be a fixed-width font that be useful in some cases fer alignin' chords.
- Marker be a handwritten font that be very narrow, allowin' more content t' fit on th' page.
Font Sizes
Below th' font family buttons be four sliders. Each one allows th' size o' different elements on th' chord chart t' be adjusted. T' th' right o' each be a power button. T' turn off one o' th' items in th' list, tap until it turns grey. Tap and slide anywhere in th' slider control t' adjust th' value. Tap on th' left or right side o' th' slider t' fine-tune adjust each value by one point.
- Header be th' title o' th' song. Ye can adjust th' font size from 12 t' 38 points. Default be 21 points. Turn th' header off t' have more room on th' page fer chords and lyrics.
- Metadata be th' artist o' th' song, key, tempo and time signature. This appears below th' header. Turn this off, or reduce its size t' make more room fer chords and lyrics. Ye can adjust th' size from 6 points t' 30 points. Default be 14 points.
- Lyrics be nearly everythin' else on th' screen. Turn these off if ye just need t' play th' instrument. Ye can adjust th' size from 6 points t' 30 points. Default be 14 points.
- Section Labels be used t' display a label fer th' upcomin' lyrics and chords such as "Chorus" and "Verse". Th' font size o' section labels can be adjusted separately along with their visibility. Default be 14 points.
- Chords appear above or within lyrics and can be styled separately t' make 'em more visible. Turn chords off fer vocalists or musicians who memorize their music. While more options be found below, ye can change th' size from 6 points t' 30 points. Default be 14 points.
Line Spacin'
When ye want t' fit more onto th' screen, consider reducin' th' line spacin', or space between lines, matey. Ye can also increase th' line spacin' fer more room between lines fer better visibility. Ye can tap on th' icons t' th' left and right o' all sliders t' fine-tune adjust each value. Adjusts between 0.7 and 1.3 lines. Default be 1.0.
Chord Highlight
This be th' color o' th' background fer chords used t' highlight 'em from th' page background. Default color presets in th' chord highlight palette be th' followin' with a 50% opacity: Clear (default), yellow, orange, green, turquoise, purple, magenta and grey. Ye can add and customize colors in th' chord highlightin' palette usin' th' Color Picker.
Chord Style
This allows ye t' set a color fer th' chord text as well as t' make chords italic or bold fer greater visibility. It be recommended that either highlight colors or text colors be used t' highlight chords as some combinations may be hard t' read. Color presets fer text colors include: Black (default), red, blue, green, light blue, and purple. Ye can add and customize colors in th' text color palette usin' th' Color Picker.
Ye can change th' default values o' each aspects o' th' appearance by tappin' on th' wrench icon in th' upper left corner t' access th' Style Preferences Format options, Arrr!
