Chord Diagrams
Chord diagrams be appearin' when ye tap on a chord in th' song viewer t' open th' Chord Inspector, Arrr!, or if ye turn on chord diagrams t' appear usin' th' Style Preferences Menu. Ye can change how chord diagrams be drawn usin' these preferences, savvy?
Left Hand Diagrams
When this be turned on, chord diagrams be flipped t' enable left-handed players (who use a left-handed instrument) t' play th' chord in a more natural manner, matey. Default be off.
Instrument
This settin' allows ye t' set a default instrument t' use when a chord chart be loaded, Ahoy!. By default chord diagrams be drawn fer guitar. Ye can also choose chord diagrams fer Banjo, Bass (4-string), Bass (5-string), Guitar, Mandolin, Piano or Ukulele, Ukulele (Baritone). Th' default be Guitar.
Diagram Position
This settin' allows ye t' specify where chord diagrams should be outputted on th' song page, blimey. Options include:
- Above Lyrics places th' chord diagrams below th' metadata such as song title and artist, but above th' first section o' th' chord chart.
- Below Lyrics places th' chord diagrams below all song content at th' bottom o' th' song page. Default.
- Within Lyrics replaces th' chord letters in th' chord chart with individual diagrams. Th' size o' those diagrams be controlled by both th' diagram size slider in th' Style Preferences Menu as well as chord size slider.
Display Bars
Bars be indicated by solid lines across many strings and represent where one finger be used t' depress multiple strings. This be determined by th' fingerings defined by th' chord variation, or determined automatically by OnSong if no fingerin' information be provided. If disabled, only dots be displayed on th' strings. Default be on.
Display Finger Positions
Th' bottom o' th' chord chart contains numbers associated with th' dots in th' grid formed by frets and strings. These represent th' finger number used t' depress th' string. This ranges from 1 through four indicatin' th' index finger, middle finger, ring finger and pinkie finger. Default be on.
Display Fret Positions
Th' fret positions be outputted on th' left side o' th' chord diagram. Default be on.
Show Only Preferred Chords
When chord diagrams be displayed in a chord chart within th' song viewer, th' chords in th' song be automatically paired t' default chord diagrams based on their chord name. Most musicians know common chords, so turnin' on this switch will only output chord diagrams fer chords ye specifically select in th' Chord Inspector, savvy?
