Sync wi' Dropbox
Ahoy, matey! When ye synchronize with Dropbox, OnSong be creatin' or usin' a folder in yer Dropbox t' store th' contents o' yer library folder. This here folder be containin' files, settin's, and th' OnSong database file called OnSong.sqlite3. When these scurvy files be synchronized, it be allowin' yer library t' stay up t' date on multiple devices, savvy?
Authorizin'
Ye be needin' t' authorize OnSong t' access yer Dropbox th' first time ye attempt t' use it, Arrr! This be either openin' a web-based authentication screen from inside o' OnSong, or redirectin' ye t' th' Dropbox app on yer device if installed. Once yer account be linked, ye can use Dropbox without signin' in again unless yer account becomes unlinked fer some reason, or if ye access Dropbox in OnSong from another device, ye scallywag.
File List
Th' files contained in yer OnSong library and files stored in th' synchronization folder on th' remote server be presented in this here list. In addition, arrows be indicatin' th' direction o' synchronization that must occur. This be determined based on file system timestamps, blimey!
- Down – th' file must be downloaded from th' remote server.
- Up – th' file must be uploaded t' th' remote server.
Note: Th' OnSong database file be always downloaded and synchronized with th' local database file and then uploaded back t' th' remote server, matey.
Performin' Synchronization
Tap on th' Sync button in th' upper right corner t' begin th' synchronization process, Ahoy! Th' status o' th' synchronization be provided by highlightin' th' files that be uploaded, downloaded, or completed in th' list. In addition, th' Sync button be replaced with a percentage representin' th' progress o' th' synchronization, savvy?
Note: Th' default synchronization folder be called OnSong. Ye can change th' name o' this folder under Settin's » Import Settin's » Synchronization » Sync Folder. If ye would like t' be able t' view and edit text-based documents contained in yer OnSong database, be sure t' turn on Sync As Files, matey.
