The Bleepin' 411

The system info screen is basically your OnSong library's obsessive diary — stats, numbers, & weirdly specific control over screens you probably forgot you plugged in.

The App Itself

Behold, the OnSong app's vital stats:

  • Version is whatever number Apple's nerds decided to call it this week.
  • Libraries shows how many separate music morgues you've hoarded. You can bounce between 'em in OnSong, but they're totally isolated from each other (sadly).
  • Total Storage is the GB you've burned up feedin' OnSong your precious digital music collection.

Your Chosen Library

Deep dive into whichever library you're currently obsessed with:

  • Name is what you called this particular music graveyard.
  • Size is literally how much hard drive real estate this library is vampiring.

The Songs (aka Your Hoard)

Buckle up — here's the full statistical rundown of your currently selected library:

  • Artists is how many awesome peeps you've crammed into OnSong.
  • Books is the number of books you're usin' to wrangle all those songs (organization, y\u{2019}all).
  • Folders is how many folders you\u{2019}ve made to organize your sets so you don\u{2019}t look like a total mess on stage.
  • Keys is how many key signatures are vibin\u{2019} in your library.
  • Sets is the number of setlists you\u{2019}ve curated (or panic-assembled at 2 AM).
  • Songs is the total headcount of tracks in your library. ZOMG, probably a lot.
  • Topics is how many topic tags you\u{2019}ve slapped on songs so you can actually find them later.

Video (aka The Big Screens)

This nerdy section spills the tea on your main screen & whatever external screens you\u{2019}ve got hooked up. It includes:

  • Main Screen drops the 411 on your iOS device\u{2019}s display — native resolution, orientation, the whole shizzle. If there\u{2019}s a number in brackets after the resolution, that\u{2019}s the DPI, homie. Example: 768x1024 (2x) = you\u{2019}re rollin\u{2019} with a Retina-class iPad that\u{2019}s basically a tiny movie theater.
  • External Screen tells you if you plugged in a secondary monitor. No screen? It says "Not Connected" (sad trombone). Got one? It shows the resolution so you can feel proud of yourself.
  • Available Modes pops up when you\u{2019}ve actually got a secondary screen attached. Shows all the resolutions that external screen can flex. Tap it to switch modes & pretend you\u{2019}re a professional.
