Ooh, Fancy Internet Movies!
OnSong is basically OBSESSED with showin' off your iOS device's external video game. You get three whole modes to pick from (we know, we're generous). The external video settings screen is where all the nerdy customization magic happens.
Hideaway Icon When Nobody's Watchin'
The Hamburger has this External Video Thingy that's always there bein' all visible & stuff. Flip this switch to only have the icon pop up when you actually plug in a video device. (Cuz apparently icons breathin' down your neck 24/7 is not chill.)
Lyriken-Projektion
Wanna turn your chord charts into a campfire singalong machine? Lyrics projection lets you blast lyrics onto a projector so your crew can all sing along & pretend they know the words. (Spoiler: they don't.)
Stage Monitor Mode
Plot twist: your HDTV can become a music stand. Stage Monitor Mode is basically witchcraft that turns one or more TVs into virtual sheet music displays. Configure it how you want & feel like a pro.
Screen Mirroring
Flip this on & OnSong acts like every other app—just copypastes your screen onto the big display. Super handy if you're makin' tutorial videos or trainin' people (aka boring stuff). It's off by default cuz OnSong has opinions about takin' over your whole external display like it owns the place.
Screen Resolution
When you plug in a video device, OnSong peeks at all the modes it can do & just picks the best one automatically. But here's the tea: sometimes your monitor lies & says it can do 1920x1080 when it's really just gonna stretch everythin' like a funhouse mirror. If that happens, you can force a specific resolution. May or may not actually work. (Fingers crossed, amirite?) It'll pick whatever's closest if your device gets huffy about it.
