Song viewer settings are basically the personality traits of how OnSong shows you your songs. Buckle up, peep. Options include:
Flash Message (aka "How Long Before You Forget We Texted You")
When you're using OnSong's messaging feature (wow, fancy), OnSong will flash each message on screen for a duration based on how many words you typed. Default? 0.3 seconds per word, plus a smooth 0.3-second fade out because we're classy like that. Wanna messages to hang around longer like that awkward friend at parties? Slide that slider right. Slide it left & they vanish faster than your motivation on a Monday. Pick anywhere between 0.1 & 1.0 seconds per word. You're welcome.
Scroll Position Thingy
When you're autoscrollin' through your song or zoomed into a section, it gets real hard to know where the heck you actually are. So OnSong throws a colored line down the left side of the screen—basically a "you are here" sticker—to show your relative spot in the song. It aligns with the lyrics & chords like magic. You're not lost. Probably.
How We Draw Your Stuff
These options control how OnSong renders everything you see in the song viewer. Tinker with 'em if your ancient iPad's wheezing or if certain content makes it cry.
The Virtual Paper Zone
Controls the background (aka "the desk"—real creative, we know) & borders around your digital sheet music. Make it pretty. Or don't. We're not your mom.
Song Chunks You Can Poke
The song viewer divides your songs into sections of chords & lyrics that you can actually interact with. Groundbreaking, srsly.
Zoom & Position (aka "Make It Bigger/Smaller Without Losing Your Mind")
Controls how much you can zoom in & out like a maniac.
- Minimum Zoom Scale — stops you from zooming out so far you can't read anything. Adjust it to prevent shrinking, or let it shrink further if you've got superhero vision.
- Maximum Zoom Scale — prevents you from zooming in until your song is just one giant blob. Set it to 100% to lock it down, or crank it up for ridiculous close-ups.
- Remember Zoom/Position is totally deprecated (RIP, old friend) because it used to remember where you left off on each song. Don't use this anymore. Go use Set Viewport instead. It's way cooler.
