OMG Plot Twists

Non-Registered Parameter Numbers are basically the cheat codes for MIDI devices that need stuff nobody asked for. You shove in a coarse & fine parameter number, then a coarse & fine value, & boom—your synth does weird things. You're welcome.

Flavor

Wanna make NRPN happen in the MIDI editor? Go pick NRPN from the type menu. Rocket science, we know.

The Vibes Channel

This decides which MIDI channel your NRPN weirdness gets sent or heard on. By default, OnSong's got your back on all channels like some kinda MIDI omniscient overlord. But if you're feelin' picky, smash the plus & minus buttons to lock down one specific channel. No judgment.

The Thing You're Changin'

So you wanna tweak a parameter. Cool. Cool cool cool. Use the coarse & fine parameter dials to find the exact knob your MIDI instrument is cryin' for. Seriously though, go crack open your manufacturer's user manual & figure out what NRPN parameters actually exist. We can't read their minds either.

The Numberz You Send

This is the actual value your parameter gets. Coarse & fine settings let you pick the perfect number to yeet at your MIDI instrument for whatever parameter you just picked. Fire it off & see what explodes.
