Ctrl+S for the Paranoid
Backups are literally the only thing standin' between your OnSong library & total musical chaos. This screen lets you go full paranoid mode & manually stash backups, or set 'em up on autopilot while the app's runnin'. Once you've got your backup strategy locked down tighter than your setlist, tap Close to save your OCD, or tap Backup to actually make the magic happen right now.

Where's My Backup Goin'?
This section lets you pick where OnSong should yeet your backup file. Tap this row to choose a service & location for your digital insurance policy.
Pro tip: Back up to cloud storage so your precious library doesn't just live on your crusty device. Trust us, your future self will be SO grateful.
The Backup File Itself
Set up a file name for when you're savin' the goods. The first row is where you get creative (or just leave it alone like 95% of you). Default name? "OnSong". The ".backup" extension auto-tags itself on the end because we're helpful like that. Boring default: "OnSong".
Throw a Timestamp on There
By default, OnSong will slap a timestamp after your filename but before the extension (nerd stuff like 201509091045 — year, month, day, hour, minute). This means every backup gets its own file. Skip the timestamp? Cool, it'll just overwrite the old one every time.
Set It & Forget It (Automatic Backup)
Backups are only good if you actually remember to make 'em. (Spoiler: you won't.) So OnSong can just do it for you automatically.
Flip the toggle on, then pick your flavor on row two. Use the stepper thingy on the right to choose: backup when you close the app, or go wild with hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly.
Heads up: If you enable both automatic backups & timestamps, OnSong's gonna nag you with an alert sayin' maybe ditch the timestamps. Why? 'Cause you'll end up with a million backup files eating all your storage. You'll get the option to turn timestamps off. Pretty chill of us, amirite.
Status Bar = Your Backup BFF
Bottom of the screen shows when your last backup actually happened. If a backup's runnin' right now, you'll see the progress for both creatin' the file & uploadin' it to your chosen service.
While backup's happenin', the Backup button up top morphs into a Stop button. Smash it & we'll cancel everything — the backup creation, the upload, the whole shebang — & close this screen. OnSong keeps chillin' in the background while all this is goin' on.
