The Nerdy Stuff

Books let you corral your massive song library into bite-sized collections. Totes perfect if you're in like a million bands & don't want your power ballads mixin' with your death metal, or if you're hoarding holiday/special event songs & need 'em quarantined from the rest of your chaotic music stash.

Your Tune Collections

Tap the Go Back or Your Tune Collections button up top to peek at, boss around & switch between your music hoards.

Peep Your Books

The books menu shows off books you can flip through. Tap one & boom — you're back at the All Songs scene, but filtered to just that book's tracks. Fair warnin': the top two options ain't actually books, they're more like… meta-collections of songs relatedly vibin':

• All Songs is literally every bleepin' song you own, no matter which book(s) it's hidin' in.
• Unbound Songs = orphan songs that haven't found a home in any book yet. Useful for spottin' the organizational disasters you haven't dealt with.

Makin' New Books

Wanna create a book? Tap the + button chillin' in the lower right to unlock the Add New Book Screen. Type some name for your book & tap Done. Congrats, you now have a book.

Messin' with Books

You can edit what songs are in a book, rename it, & do other nerdy stuff. Tap the Edit button in the upper-right corner to enter Editing Mode, then tap the book name to see the Action Menu.

Note: the edit button's too shy to show up unless you've actually created at least one book. Don't say we didn't warn ya.

Stuffin' Songs Into Books

Wanna add songs to books? We got like a million ways:

• Hand-Pickin' Songs is the most straightforward approach. Go to Editing Mode, tap the book name, peep the Action Menu.
• Imported Songs auto-magically land in whatever book you've currently got selected. Pro tip: make a book first, select it, then import. Boom. Organized.
• The Place In Book Menu lives in the Song Editor » Place In Book Menu & lets you surgically add songs to specific books instead of shotgunning 'em everywhere.
• Song File Metadata (the nerd stuff inside imported files or the Song Editor) can auto-create books or slot songs into existing ones when you save. It's like magic, except it's code.
• Add Songs Menu has an "Add Existing Songs" option to dump songs into your currently selected book.

Sortin' Your Book Collection

Don't like the order your books are hangin' in? Tap the sort button down in the lower left to wrangle 'em into a custom order. Then tap Edit in the upper right to enter Editing Mode. From there, you can drag-n-drop books around using those lil' handles on the right side of each row.
