When you yeet files into OnSong, that janky filename sticks around in your library like a bad smell. This filename is basically OnSong's way of keeping track of what's what (you're welcome).
When you're browsing files to import, files you've already imported show up all faded & ghostly to be like "hey, psst, we already got this one." When you try to import one or more files with the same OG filename, OnSong will freak out & be like "HOLD UP" & give you one of these totally rad options:
Yeet It (Update)
Pick this & OnSong will straight-up replace the old file with the shiny new version. Like, if you imported a PDF, scribbled all over it like a maniac, then import it again with this option — BOOM. New file over old file. OnSong shows the fresh hotness. Chef's kiss. 🤌
Clone It (Duplicate)
Wanna make a twin? This option clones the song so you got two versions with the same filename but, y'know, different vibes. Srsly useful if you're paranoid & can't decide between takes.
Ghostin' (Skip)
Just… skip the files you already imported. Perfect for when you wanna be lazy & not update anything but still grab new stuff. It's the "ignore problems" button. We get it.
Nope (Cancel)
Bail out entirely. Lets you start over & pick different files like the indecisive legend you are.
