Big Foot Goes Clickety-Clack
OnSong totally vibes with these fancy foot thingies so you can control OnSong without actually using your hands. Totes clutch if you're a singer, drummer, or literally anyone else who needs to keep their digits free & doin' the actual music thing on stage instead of jabbin' at screens like a maniac.
Bluetooth is Here to Save Your Feet
The most popular foot pedal uses Bluetooth & basically acts like a keyboard but for your feet (yeah, that's a thing now). Companies like AirTurn, Coda, & PageFlip are mad reliable & flexible & all that jazz.
Foot pedals are basically programmed to scroll your songs & navigate your setlists with a stomp. You can also tweak literally every action for each pedal in the Foot Pedal Setup screen. Got four pedals? Even better — hook up Gears to unlock like, infinite foot pedal powers or whatever.
MIDI (Yeah, the Nerdy Stuff)
OnSong plays nice with all kinds of MIDI devices like the iRig Blueboard. BUT — & this is a big BUT — MIDI setup is kinda fussy & you gotta buy the MIDI Integration in-app purchase. Each pedal needs its own babysitting & doesn't magically work outta the box. Shocking, we know.
Wired (The Old School Way)
OnSong also works with crusty old wired foot pedals like the Griffin Stompbox or literally any USB keyboard thing that iOS tolerates.
Pro tip: USB foot pedals gotta be powered by your iOS device & need a Camera Connection Kit to even plug in. Seriously, check with the maker first before droppin' cash or you'll be real sad. Trust us.
